Internet of Things (IoT) – Connecting Everything!

August 31, 2020 0 Comments

The number of Internet connected objects will reach by 28 billion devices by the end of 2020. The number of Internet connected devices in India like personal computers, smartphones and many other smart devices connected to the Internet drives the economic growth of the nation with people having better communication ability for business and access to information. IoT, short for the Internet of Things, is a vast network spanning across sensors and data from connected vehicles, smart home appliances, gadgets and other electronics which enables these devices to exchange data with the Internet and other devices. From agricultural development to aircraft advances, each industry is excited about the possibilities of embedding Internet of Things (IoT) in their products and services.

All of these provide an opportunity for Internet Service Providers to customize their Internet offerings according to these new consumer trends with full IPv6 support. IPv6 provides each device with a direct public IPv6 address which helps it communicate with any other device on the Internet. This is crucial for the widespread proliferation of IoT technology to integrate it into everyday devices.

Jaze Networks enables ISPs to manage and deploy subscribers with IPv6 support for supporting the next generation of services on their existing networks with interoperability with almost all major BRAS and NAS vendors.

The Future of Internet’s Structure

August 21, 2020 0 Comments

The future of Internet’s structure is being experimented by big tech giants like Google, Facebook, SpaceX and Oneweb to improve and provide wireless Internet structures to increase speed and accessibility of the Internet worldwide. Google is planning to provide Internet in remote areas through space balloons at high altitudes to provide 4G level speeds. Facebook is experimenting with solar drones deployed as atmospheric satellites called Aquila drones to provide Internet to remote areas.

SpaceX is launching 4000 satellites to deliver Internet and this mission will be completed using their own reusable rockets to bring the cost of deployments. Oneweb satellites are also launching 650 satellites and 68 satellites have already been launched into orbit. All these are experiments which aim to take Internet to remote places and make them accessible in a affordable manner throughout the world.

All these newer technologies are already starting to be deployed with billions already invested for development of these technologies. With the growth of Internet and IoT worldwide IPv4 resources are getting scarce. A lot of the newer providers listed above and also newer broadband providers are adopting IPv6 from end-to-end instead of just at the edge to scale their networks.

Jaze ISP Manager enables Internet service providers (ISPs) to deliver fully managed IPv6 services with Prefix Delegation and IPv6 address space management needed for next generation of IoT services.

The infographic below explained the change 5G technology is about to bring and how it is going to change the way of communication around the world.  The new 5G wireless mobile network rapidly being developed by telcos worldwide is designed connect virtually everyone and everything together including machines, objects and devices. 5G technology delivers close to wire speed internet connection on mobile devices with low latency and reliability. It is also designed to be very efficient to use less power on devices and will have longer battery life and 5G will also boost the economic growth in the future. By the year 2035, a large number of employment opportunities in 5G based applications are expected that will transform industries with $3.5 trillion in revenues.

With the growth in technology in the future, we are on the beginning of a new era with intelligent connectivity. Convergence of high speed 5G networks and IoT will change the way the ISP industry operates with new technologies to be adopted for future applications. ISPs must focus on network quality with better understanding of newer applications based on 5G networks and IoT applications.

Jaze ISP Management solution enables ISPs to ensure the best quality of service for broadband customers and to centrally manage end-to-end operations for their business with support for IPv6 and IoT for next generation services.
