About the operator

The operator is a government entity owned by the state, and delivers its services through a network of Local Cable Operators (LCOs). It provides broadband and leased line services to residential and corporate customers, and offers Wi-Fi hotspots as a value-added service in public locations such as bus stands and parks.

Jaze ISP Manager provides centralized AAA across all subscribers, with integrated billing, payment management, revenue sharing and franchisee management with business partners, alongside a helpdesk, customer portal, mobile application and logging for TRAI and DoT compliance.

The solution is integrated with Cisco ASR 1000 series routers and Mikrotik routers. Subscribers connect over PPPoE and IPoE, with policy enforced centrally at the NAS routers through Jaze ISP Manager.

[01] Requirements

What the operator needed

  • Centrally manage subscribers and services across the entire network, spanning multiple NAS and Internet drop points.

  • Manage billing and payment collection across multiple sites.

  • Shape traffic per traffic stream for peering and cached traffic.

  • Provide different access levels for the NOC team, franchisees and finance.

  • Manage complaints and provisioning requests, and provide detailed reports to management.

[02] Solution

What Jaze deployed

Jaze ISP Manager was deployed centrally, with redundancy across primary and secondary servers and centralized logging for compliance.

It was integrated with the operator's existing Cisco ASR and Mikrotik routers, and with the existing ERP through an API, so the finance department receives consolidated business reports.

[03] Benefits

What changed

  • A single RADIUS handles both NAS types, so subscribers can be upgraded from one network to another without any change to AAA policies.

  • Complete automation of the subscriber lifecycle, from provisioning to billing, payment management and support.

  • Automatic revenue sharing, balance calculation and credit management between all entities.

  • Centralized monitoring, reports and logs across all subscribers.
